the project

From time to time, the gods of the Southern Lands are born as mortals and walk among their people, possessing strange powers and a habit of attracting trouble. But during the rest of eternity, they reside at the City of the Gods, a complex of temples, market towns…and a school.

Evelyn Ward and her sister are packed off to that school, where their lives take a turn for the worse. Evie’s new friends are hiding something, one of her professors has it in for her, adults outside of the school are treating her strangely.

And if all that wasn’t enough, it seems a team of demons is out to destroy her.

Evie will have to find a way to survive her first year at Dewa Academy without getting dragged into a fight for her life.
